• Dictate your way: You can now choose how you start and stop dictation. Either press and hold to record and release to stop, or tap once to start and tap again to stop. Pick the style that feels most natural in the settings.

• No more stuck loading screen: Fixed an issue where the app could get stuck while starting up. The app now recovers gracefully and offers a retry option instead of hanging indefinitely. By clicking on the Haidy loading logo, you can display a debug log that can be sent to 44ai support.

• Recording stops when you sign out: Dictation now automatically stops when you sign out, so no recording continues in the background.

• Dictate button updates correctly: Fixed the on-screen dictate buttons not reflecting the correct state when you start or stop dictation with a keyboard shortcut.

• Dictate product access check with no-access banner: The app now verifies your dictate product license on startup. If you do not have dictate access, a warning banner is shown and dictation is disabled.

• Updated app, tray, and overlay icons: Application icons have been refreshed for a consistent look across macOS and Windows. The overlay now uses a clean, monochrome Haidy icon with a transparent background. On macOS, this same icon is also used as the tray icon, aligning with Apple's design standards.

• Updated overall styling: The app's look and feel has been refreshed to align with brand styles. A loading screen with a pulsing Haidy logo has been introduced when opening the app. On Windows, the title bar now uses theme-aware background colors.

• Single-instance enforcement: The app now actively prevents multiple instances from running simultaneously, with hardened startup handling to avoid race conditions.

• Hotkey and language now persist across restarts: Previously, your preferred dictation hotkey and language sometimes reverted to defaults (F1 / German) after restarting the app. These settings are now correctly saved per user and restored on next launch.

• Stale config no longer overwrites user settings on login: A race condition where an outdated configuration could overwrite your user-scoped settings after logging in has been fixed.
